Senior Cargo Sales and Operations Coordinator

About the Role
  • Compile statistical analysis related to reservation trends, transfer connections, yield, and seasonal variations to provide management with relevant information.
  • Provide rate quotes and respond to queries on flight schedules, tariffs, and shipment status to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Evaluate and respond to customer inquiries on ad-hoc shipments, ensuring timely follow-ups on large requests and RFQs.
  • Monitor utilisation of allotments and pre-bookings, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal yield.
  • Create and update import and departure records, informing customers of post-flight status to maintain high service levels.
  • Accept reservations up to final destinations, applying independent judgment to achieve optimal yield.
  • Manage contract rate filing, rate sheets, and internal visibility within the team, handling CASS refund claims efficiently.
  • Support the sales team with CRM maintenance, customer mailings, competitions, promotions, and event management to enhance customer engagement.
  • Prepare and submit commercial reports in a timely manner, identifying opportunities, trends, and threats to support the sales team in data preparation.
Requirements
  • Good standard of secondary education.
  • At least 3 years of general cargo customer service or logistics experience with an airline and/or forwarder.
  • Highly numerate and accurate under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
