Head of Financial Institutions Coverage

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Financial Institutions Coverage Team in Switzerland. As Head of FI Switzerland, you will be responsible for steering and expanding the team, which has been established since April 2022.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team in close relation with the hierarchical and functional reporting lines
  • Execute FI growth plan and identify new strategic opportunities to improve business performance
  • PAM and LAM responsibility for Swiss clients, including 1st line of defence responsibilities
  • Ensure the business operates with an acceptable risk tolerance and adheres to regulatory parameters
  • Develop and coordinate knowledge sharing and foster a culture of collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement, and innovation
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the overall business and people strategy and ING business principles

Your Profile and Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on leader with strong commercial drive and results-driven sales team management experience
  • Self-starter with a disciplined approach and result-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of Financial Institutions and a vision for the sub-sectors
  • Good credit experience and knowledge of relevant products for the FI client base
  • Collaborative personality with strong team player and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with relevant KYC and compliance knowledge and experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • English language skills, with proficiency in German and/or French language skills
