Job Opportunity: Head of Financial Institutions

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Financial Institutions Coverage Team in Switzerland. As Head of FI Switzerland, you will be responsible for steering and expanding the team, which has been established since April 2022.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the FI Switzerland team, reporting to the local Zurich office Manager and functionally to the Head of FI EMEA.
  • Execute the FI growth plan, identifying new strategic opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Manage a team in close relation with hierarchical and functional reporting lines.
  • PAM and LAM responsibility for Swiss clients, including 1st line of defence responsibilities.
  • Ensure the business operates with an acceptable risk tolerance and adheres to regulatory parameters.
  • Develop and coordinate knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the overall business and people strategy and ING business principles.
Your Profile and Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on leader with strong commercial drive, able to manage results-driven sales teams.
  • Self-starter, disciplined approach, and result-oriented.
  • Knowledge of Financial Institutions and a vision on the sub-sectors.
  • Good credit experience and knowledge of TS, FM, and advisory products relevant to the FI client base.
  • Highly collaborative personality, strong team player, and ability to communicate effectively with clients, ING teams, and senior management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Relevant KYC and compliance knowledge and experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • English and preferably also German and/or French language skills, written as well as spoken.
