About Our Client
Michael Page - Switzerland is a leading recruitment agency in the country, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Head of External Reporting to join our team.

Job Description
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including filings, earnings releases, and investor presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (Swiss-GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with various internal departments, such as Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Investor Relations, to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial disclosures.
  • Oversee the drafting, review, and finalization of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
  • Provide expertise on complex accounting issues and reporting implications of corporate transactions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors during the audit and review process.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present external reporting updates to the CFO, Board of Directors, and other senior leaders as needed.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and regulations and assess their impact on financial reporting and compliance.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's/ Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a CPA is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, with a focus on external reporting and filings.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company, experience in stock exchange listing (preferred).
  • Certification and strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience with SIX Swiss Exchange requirements.
  • Strong asset if you have already participated in a listing process of a company.
  • Experience with regulatory 144A requirements for US investors.
  • Experience with Prospectus drafting (in cooperation with external experts/banks/counsels).
  • Deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements, technical accounting principles and regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, great PowerPoint presentation ability.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Professional fluency in English, German would be a plus.
