Role Summary


The Head of External Reporting will oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including filings, earnings releases, and investor presentations.


Main Responsibilities



  • Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Swiss-GAAP and IFRS.
  • Partner with various internal departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial disclosures.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise on complex issues and reporting implications of corporate transactions.
  • Coordinate with auditors during the audit and review process, ensuring timely completion of audit-related deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare and present external reporting updates to the CFO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders as needed.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and assess their impact on financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements



  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, with a focus on external reporting and filings.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company and stock exchange listing is preferred.
  • Certification and strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience with SIX Swiss Exchange requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team, work collaboratively across departments, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional fluency in English, with German being a plus.
