Team/Role Overview:

Securities Services (SS) is a key business within the Citi Institutional Clients Group. The business provides Custody and associated ancillary products to a variety of financial intermediary clients: international broker/dealers, universal banks, global custodians, and market infrastructures. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for operational service-related escalations and in conjunction with the Client Executive (CE), will be responsible for ensuring that Citi is delivering a best-in-class client experience. The successful candidate will typically be assigned a number of clients and be responsible for implementing an appropriate service delivery governance structure focused on proactive client management. It is within the remit of the Account Manager role to act as an advocate for the client within Citi.

The role will have accountability to the Account Management lead and will require the candidate to collaborate with their peers and colleagues in other regions to ensure consistency for any global client relationships that they manage.

What you'll do:

  • Act as primary point of senior ownership for all client service issues arising from regional escalations and complex issue resolutions.
  • Perform regular client meetings to confirm our commitment to delivering the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Client Executive's in retaining and improving client relationship through owning log of operational service issues and service plan.
  • Maintain strategic knowledge of client's Operational contact, setup and operating model.
  • Supporting Sales/CEs in pre-RFP information requests and client due diligence.
  • Utilise client metrics and executive reporting to analyse, understand and present operating trends to the client, in a way that creates efficiencies for Citi and the client, reduces cost of repair and exception and positions Citi as a superior provider against the competition.
  • Helps client with navigating firm's operational SMEs. Arranges subject matter discussions/ reviews as required.
  • Build virtual service teams that are capable and nimble to respond quickly to the needs of our clients, creating a team sense of collective responsibility and 'client first' mentality.
  • Develop/ maintain network of contacts within Citi in order to effectively deliver results for clients in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates the logistics of client communication during service / system issues and updates on all events.
  • Based on knowledge of processes and client feedback, raise product gaps to relevant Product team ensuring a targeted strategy is in place.
  • Work closely with the Implementations team, Product, and the Markets to assist in the successful on boarding of new client business.

What we'll need from you:

  • Experience in a global financial institution with broad end to end understanding of the Securities Services products.
  • Previous experience in client facing role essential, enthusiastic with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and experience.
  • Good understanding of current and upcoming industry regulations.
  • Language requirements are not mandatory, however French and German is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree / University degree or equivalent experience.
