Business Office Assistant

Work Hours/Schedule: Flexible Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm
Primary purpose of position: Providing general office assistance
Duties and responsibilities: 1. Assist with reviewing and processing checks. Requires alphabetizing, stuffing checks, verification of correct address and correct vendor. 2. Assist with general ledger journal entry preparation and review. Requires basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and keyboard shortcuts. Basic understanding of accounting a plus. 3. Assist with additional Business Office projects such as invoicing, processing, and filing various documents, and reviewing processes for accuracy. 4. May assist with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: 1. Ability to work independently but not afraid to ask questions. 2. General working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 3. Strong administrative skills (sorting, alphabetizing, cross -referencing.) 4. Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees and students. 5. Ability to pay attention to detail and closely follow written procedures. 6. Maintain pleasant and positive, and Christ-centered attitude. 7. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
