The role of Sales, Strategy and Business Development Manager BL Metals is an outstanding opportunity for a highly dynamic sales professional to draw up, implement, and evolve a compelling strategy for business development in a fast-paced market. Overseeing Sales, Strategy and Business Development activities for BL Metals, you will coach and lead sales teams in pursuit of maximum customer satisfaction and profitable growth. Do you have a strong track record in sales, underpinned by the ability to motivate a professional team of direct and dotted-line reports to perform to the highest standards? Are you a strategist with hands-on abilities and the determination needed to drive sales forward?
**This position reports to**:
Business Manager - E2E
**Your responsibilities**:
- Draw up and execute well-conceived sales strategy together with strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy
- Spearhead efforts to identify opportunities for business expansion and penetration across business line
- Define sales targets and ensure attainment by tracking performance and implementing improvement plans where necessary
- Ensure that targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency are exceeded, including management of pricing strategy and margins
- Take ownership of sales processes, contribute directly to negotiations for key contracts, and manage full range of training and development programs
- Oversee business intelligence, including availability of up-to-date information on key markets, customers, and competitors, and actively feed this into strategy development
**Your background**:
- Solid Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, ideally complemented by an MBA
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in sales relating to system-based business in an industrial sector and ability to work in a global matrix organization
- Strong sales personality with finely honed leadership skills and the ability to motivate others around you, including dotted-line reports
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, preferably supplemented by other foreign language skills (Spanish/German)
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20 - 30 % within Europe and 10 % at an international level)
