This position is located in the Information and Communication Technology Service (ICTS), Division of Administration, United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG). The incumbent reports to the Events Support Services Operational team leader.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the supervisor of the Events Support Services Operational Team Leader, the incumbent will be responsible of the following duties:
Video Conferencing Devices Administration and Configuration:

- Configure and setup of VC End Point Devices and BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) equipment for deployment to clients and end users.
- Monitoring VC End Points deployed in the UN compound, and Assists in performing software distribution updates testing and support.
- Maintains and updates documentation for VC End Points and BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) equipment deployed in each meeting room.

Service Installation and Support:

- Receives and logs problem calls, or service requests received in the dedicated phone line and mailbox with minimum delay.
- Attempts to resolve as many problems calls or service requests on initial contact.
- Performs tasks related to scheduled video conference meeting requests, including Codec configuration and AV testing, coordination with CSS, DCM, DFS and Engineering teams; Events monitoring.
- Diagnoses and resolves any hardware, software, or connectivity problem with minimum delay.
- Provides basic training to end-users on the use of Video Conferencing systems; Drafts end
- user and/or technical documentation, Provide technical advice to clients when necessary.
- Detects problem patterns and recommend solutions; and escalates problems/tasks to the appropriate parties in accordance with established procedure.
- Keeps abreast of developments in technology both in the UN and in the industry in general.
- Provides guidance and training to new/junior staff.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Cross training:

- Learns all other platforms offered by the Events Support Service.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience in an IT environment and helpdesk support is required.

Experience in Cisco Codec configuration, BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) modality, and AV testing are desirable.

Experience in managing and running Webex sessions and Video conferencing system are desirable.

Experience in RSI (Remote Simultaneous Interpretation) platforms is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages in the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required and knowledge of French is desirable.
