**Technical Sales Representative, EMEA; Scientific Instrumentation**
We need a very special individual to strengthen our sales efforts in EMEA, with a focus on France. This person will further accelerate our sales to academia, government institutions and commercial companies, as well as manage relationships and sales funnels with Picarro resellers in the territory. Ideally, he or she already has some experience in selling CapEx equipment and preferably has experience selling into (gas) analyzer markets and has a complementary technical background.

A passion for driving sales, building solid customer relationships, and developing new business will be essential. The person in this role will be a strong team player and drive significant growth for the organization.

**The Responsibilities**

Co-develop and execute a sales plan to meet/exceed forecast and penetrate target markets.
Proactively identify and contact Picarro customers and prospects to generate new business.
Create compelling sales tools, answer sales/technical enquiries in collaboration with the Application Scientist team and respond to public tenders, RFQs and RFIs.
Work effectively with the company’s internal resources to manage opportunities.
Penetrate targeted accounts at all appropriate levels and establish relationships with sales channel partners and key decision makers; build long-term relations for continued sales success.
Provide accurate and timely forecasting activities.
Bring customer requirements to Product Management to support future product offerings.
Work with internal groups such as service and manufacturing to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Represent the Company at appropriate customer visits, conferences and trade shows.
**Skills and Experience**

You will have several years of successful technical CapEx instrumentation sales experience with a proven track record of sales performance, or incredible sales talent.
You will be completely comfortable with a consultative sales process used to manage technically complex, long-cycle sales.
You have a strong collaborative nature and are excited to work as part of a growth-focused team of sales professionals.
You are able to influence and persuade others, inside and outside the company with your exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, written and spoken abilities.
You will have strong critical thinking skills and the problem-solving ability to solve complex problems with mínimal supervision or direction.
Energetic self-starter, highly motivated with the drive to succeed.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's or higher degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field.
Basic understanding of (gas) molecules and isotopes, or the willingness and ability to learn about these.
Basic software skills appropriate to the sales function (i.e. CRM, MS Office).
- 40 % travel to Picarro HQ (Santa Clara, California, USA) customer sites and international conferences is required. Driver’s license is an advantage.
Fluent in both French and English is a must, additional languages advantageous.
