Overview: **_ DO YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A BETTER WORLD?_** The Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction empowers a unique global network of design and construction experts committed to sustainably transforming the building sector. As we embark on an exciting new chapter to accelerate the Foundation’s impact, we are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the Foundation’s Awards program and develop technically robust case studies on best practices in sustainable construction. This role is based in Zurich, Switzerland. **No agencies can be considered for this job posting, and no agency involvement is required unless contractually assigned.** **Responsibilities**: - The main purpose of this role is to identify pioneering practitioners, grow the Foundation’s library of sustainable construction best practices and ensure the scientific and technical robustness of the Foundation’s thought leadership: **Holcim Awards stewardship and impact measurement** - Ensure the timely and successful delivery of the bi-annual Holcim Awards - Work collaboratively with the Foundation’s external Expert Pool to select and finalize Awards’ Juries and coordinate the Awards' complete evaluation process. - Prepare, participate and take minutes at Awards’ Jury meetings; draft and/or edit the Awards’ Jury reports - Execute project verification of winning submissions and coordinate announcements of winning Awards’ projects - Develop and maintain a reporting process to measure and communicate the impact of the Awards’ program **Sustainable construction case studies and thought leadership** - Work collaboratively with Awards’ recipients and project team networks to follow-up and document the technical interpretations of winning projects - Create a dynamic library of technically sound best practice case studies and work collaboratively with the Foundation’s communications staff to optimize their promotion - Co-edit and monitor technical/scientific content of all Foundation communications and publications - Collaborate with Foundation staff to develop new strategies to promote sustainable construction Education/Qualifications: - Academic degree (Master) in architecture, urban planning, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering **Experience**: - 5+ years of experience in planning, design and execution of real construction projects (buildings and/or infrastructure) - Experience working internationally is preferred Knowledge & Skills: - In-depth and current knowledge of sustainable development and construction (theory and practice) - Advanced research skills, awareness of emerging issues for professionals in design and construction - Effective written and oral communication, both one-on-one and group presentations - Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods - Strong stakeholder focus and service-oriented attitude - Open-minded and inclusive team player - Able to decide, act and lead independently - Able to work under pressure, multi-task, take on responsibilities, and deliver on time - Willingness and capacity to travel and work abroad for short periods of time Language Requirements: High proficiency in English (oral and written) - mother-tongue or equivalent.
