Sustainable Packaging Program Manager

**What's the role?**:
You drive sustainable packaging initiatives and projects with interdisciplinary teams and external suppliers. You define priorities, set and track targets in alignment with a steering committee. You are the knowledge hub for sustainable packaging and help to keep the topic at the top of the company’s sustainability agenda.

**What does the role involve?**:
This job includes guiding strategic sustainable packaging initiatives, such as global target setting, rules and guidelines definition, brand and design orientation, and internal and external communication. You prioritize, coordinate, and define sustainable packaging projects with internal and external such as plants and suppliers, including resource, budget, and timing responsibility in alignment with a steering committee and the general sustainability strategy of Hilti. You ensure that best practices and knowledge on sustainable packaging is spread throughout Hilti and maintain an overview of all sustainable packaging initiatives and track progress. You are responsible for the packaging chapter and numbers in the annual sustainability report. You present the overall progress of the sustainability in packaging journey to relevant internal stakeholders from e.g. top management or in business unit and market HUB meetings.You are a sparring partner for business units when assessing different sustainable packaging options. Last but not least you create enthusiasm for sustainable packaging within Hilti.

**What you need is**:

- Background in packaging or a bachelor in material science, or related field
- Good project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and get things done
- Strong networking and stakeholder management skills are essential
- Strong leadership skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good English knowledge, German knowledge is advantageous
- Willingness to travel internationally
