Executive Chef de Partie

We are seeking a highly skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at FIVE Zürich Switzerland.
As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to the highest standards.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Food preparation and cooking on a day-to-day basis in a kitchen section directed by the Chef De Partie/Sous Chef.
- Maintaining a sufficient level of food items to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period while controlling food quality, consistency, presentation, and taste.
- Ensuring kitchen and food preparation areas are entirely clean when left unattended.
- Following the rules set and/or by law regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating, storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment, reporting of notifiable diseases, reporting of absenteeism due to sickness or otherwise.
- Helping to prevent waste of food and over-production to mise-en-place, and keeping food order from store or supplies to a minimum.
- Monitoring the daily work assigned to colleagues and ensuring that given guidelines are followed, and the necessary corrective measures have been taken, if necessary.
- Preparing and properly garnishing food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation.
- Supervising and supporting team members in their own sections in order to achieve optimum quality.
- Following proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
- Contributing to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets.
- Assisting other departments wherever necessary and maintaining good working relationships.
- Assisting Chef De Partie/Sous Chef in the training of all staff in compliance with company procedures.
- Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
- Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
- Instructing/train the kitchen team on routine procedures and supervising their tasks to ensure clarity and adherence.
- Working efficiently to control wastage of food and non-food items.
- A Demi Chef De Partie who has worked in, and understands, high-volume operations.
- Experience in multiple types of cuisines is an advantage.
- Expressing the FIVE Vibe by delivering exquisite culinary experiences.
- Experience in Cold Kitchen and/or Hot Kitchen.
- Demonstrating great dedication, high energy, and contributing with enthusiasm.
- Must be willing to ride the journey of creating a successful FIVE brand.
- An active learner with an open mind that embraces change, is always solution-driven, and an ideation expert.
- Swiss work permit holder or EU ID/Passport holder.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a bonus.
