About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Customer Success Renewal Specialist to join our team at SAS. As a primary contact, you will develop and execute win/win negotiation strategies for complex contract renewals, optimizing contract terms while protecting and enhancing customer trust.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Serve as primary contact to develop and execute win/win negotiation strategies for complex contract renewals that optimize contract terms while protecting and enhancing customer trust.
  2. Own, drive and manage the renewals process in collaboration with the account team.
  3. Ensure successful and on-time renewals for assigned accounts prior to the contract end date and execute all renewal back-end work in a timely manner.
  4. Present renewal proposal(s) and options to customers and notify them proactively of upcoming contract expiration.
  5. Partner with Account Executives/CSMs/Enterprise Negotiations, Licensing Operations and Sales Operations to fully understand and develop a clear renewal strategy for each customer ahead of the renewal date.
  6. Provide rapid, focused response to customer/CSM requests, including sales processing procedures.
  7. Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewal to on-time closure.
  8. Secure and validate renewal orders, driving maximum renewal and up-selling from the install base, including confirming delivery of quotes to partners/end customers and facilitating order processing and approval of purchase orders.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate has a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business subject (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proven record of complex solution selling, negotiation skills, and understanding of software licensing concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and interact productively with all levels of staff.
