Job Overview

As a Guest Services Agent on the Viking Mississippi, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide friendly, personalized front-desk service, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and supported throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary source of information for guests, providing concierge services and responding to their inquiries and requests.
  • Process onboard sales transactions and operate the phone switchboard, cashless system, and safety system.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the guest infotainment system and plan and execute embarkation, disembarkation, and check-in/out procedures.
  • Maintain daily logbooks and guest manifests, handle guest complaints, and prepare guest lists and invitations.
  • Coordinate guest travel arrangements and assist with shore excursions while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in the Front Office department or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage.
  • High school diploma required, and degree with hospitality focus preferred.
  • Physically fit and in good health; extensive walking required and ability to stand on feet for long periods.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance, and impeccable hygiene standards.
Mandatory Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal regulations.
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test, including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances.
