Viking River Cruises AG is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team in Basel, Switzerland. As a VAT Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation of VAT returns and maintenance of the VAT set-up in our ERP system.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare VAT returns, ESL & Intrastat
- Prepare VAT reconciliation and ageing reports
- Ensure VAT compliant Accounts Payable processes and invoice review
- Partner with Finance Team for the administration of period end close process
- Communication with tax authorities
- Maintain VAT set-up in the ERP system
- Support VAT administration and documentation
- 2 – 3 years' experience in VAT
- VAT compliance background
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with and organize a large volume of data
- Fluent written and spoken English, fluency in German is an asset
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Good knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel
- Experience with ERP system(s)
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness for teamwork
- Reliable and stress-resistant
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
