Financial Transformation Expert for Lonza's Global Business Services Organization

This is a unique opportunity for a senior finance professional to join the Lonza Finance team and drive the finance transformation. As the Head of Finance for Lonza's Swiss Commercial Entities, you will be responsible for the complete financial oversight and reporting of the two most important and complex operational companies in the Lonza Group.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Health and Compliance: Monitor the financial health, integrity, and compliance of the legal entities and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Financial Risk Management: Manage the financial risks of the entity, ensuring financial compliance and that internal controls are in place, enforced, and periodically reviewed.
- Financial Reporting: Regularly review the financial accounts for the entities prepared by the Shared Service Center in the Global Business Services Organization. Ultimate accountability for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the legal entity's internal and external reporting.
- External Audits: Ensure successful external audits: Management representative for the external auditors. With your team, manage the timely completion of the external audit, including active issue resolution, escalation, and reporting. Ensure systematic root cause analysis for audit misstatements is performed and mitigating actions are defined and completed. Ensure control weaknesses are assessed and addressed in a timely manner.
- Internal Audits: Ensure successful internal audits: Management representative for the internal auditors. Ensure systematic root cause analysis and implementation of mitigating actions for audit observations and recommendations in the finance area.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with internal stakeholders to gain a complete understanding of how business activities are reflected in the financials.
- Treasury and Tax: Work with Corporate Treasury for all treasury and financing matters related to the legal entity. Work with Corporate Tax for all tax matters related to the legal entity.
- Process Improvement: Closely work with the GBS Organization to ensure all processes provided by GBSO in the financial area are effective and efficient. Support ongoing process and internal control improvements.
- Technology Implementation: Support the S/4HANA implementation project.
- Swiss Certified Public Accountant: Required.
- Language Skills: Business fluent in German and English.
- Education: Master's in Economics & Business Administration, specializing in accounting, auditing, and taxation.
- Experience: Advanced level of experience within Finance is required; extensive financial accounting and reporting experience in a multi-national environment is required.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in leading teams in different locations.
- SAP Competency: An advantage.
