Your Role and Work Environment

We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual with a strong commercial drive to join our Zurich-based team as a Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and further developing existing business relationships, identifying and originating new business opportunities, and marketing the full range of ING's products and services to clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and further develop existing business relationships by enhancing product and geographical coverage
  • Identify and originate new business opportunities with prospective clients in accordance with the bank's growth strategy and risk appetite
  • Market the full range of ING's products and services to act as the bank's representative to clients and prospects up to Board Level
  • Originate, lead, negotiate, and close new transactions in close cooperation with relevant product specialists
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and relevant internal stakeholders across products and network countries
  • Develop strategic client account plans considering client needs, business potential, and appropriate risk allocation
  • Responsible for credit quality, KYC validity, and other regulatory requirements of the portfolio
  • Develop and coordinate knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team
Requirements
  • Master's degree in finance, banking, economics, or other relevant discipline, equivalent work experience, and/or relevant certification (e.g., CFA)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of commercial work experience, including relationship management/origination, combined with corporate banking product expertise
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business mandates, close transactions, and develop networks both internally and externally
  • Good credit risk knowledge, as well as knowledge of TS, FM, DCM, and advisory products
  • Relevant KYC and compliance knowledge and experience
  • Execution capabilities and the ability to drive and coordinate processes end-to-end
  • Results-oriented with a positive mindset to contribute to overall team results
  • Strong team player, self-motivated, with high work ethics
  • Fluency in English, with German and/or French being an asset
