  • Sustainability-focused initiatives, including sustainability improvement facilities for large corporates and commodity traders

Your Role and Work Environment

We seek an ambitious self-starter with strong commercial drive at VP/Director level to join our Zurich-based team. The ideal candidate will have relevant relationship management experience, corporate banking product expertise, and seasoned influencing skills.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining high-quality client relationships and driving overall financial performance of corporate clients
  • Identifying and originating new business opportunities aligned with the bank's growth strategy and risk appetite
  • Marketing ING's products and services to act as the bank's representative to clients and prospects up to Board Level
  • Originating, leading, negotiating, and closing new transactions in close cooperation with product specialists
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Developing strategic client account plans considering client needs, business potential, and risk allocation
  • Maintaining credit quality, KYC validity, and regulatory requirements of the portfolio
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in finance, banking, economics, or a related field, along with relevant work experience and/or certifications (e.g., CFA)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of commercial experience, including relationship management and corporate banking product expertise
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business mandates, close transactions, and develop networks internally and externally
  • Good credit risk knowledge and familiarity with TS, FM, DCM, and advisory products
  • Relevant KYC and compliance knowledge and experience
  • Execution capabilities and the ability to drive processes end-to-end
  • Results-oriented mindset with a positive attitude towards contributing to team results
  • Strong team player with high work ethics
  • Fluency in English, with German and/or French being an asset

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per annum
