We are seeking a seasoned Senior Account Executive to spearhead strategic sales initiatives within enterprise accounts across their assigned territory. Key responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business opportunities in prospects and existing customers. This role is a quota-carrying individual contributor position with a focus on new business development.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute complex sales strategies to drive revenue growth in enterprise accounts.
- Present MicroStrategy's value proposition to C-level stakeholders through strategic engagements, effectively communicating the benefits of our Business Intelligence software products and services.
- Prospect, develop, and close new business while fostering strong relationships with satisfied customers.
- Conduct thorough research to create effective business impact models, account plans, and win plans, as well as business cases, ROI, and TCO models.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, evaluation, close, and account care, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services.
- Work closely with Inside Sales to develop a territory and target account plan, creating a healthy pipeline that yields overachievement in booking targets.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of MicroStrategy's software products and services, as well as a deep understanding of their applications.
- Employ strategic value-based selling, business case definition, return on investment analysis, customer references, and analyst data to position MicroStrategy's solutions.
- Coordinate and manage industry events and user groups to generate market interest.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks in business activities, reporting them in a timely manner.
- Extensive experience in quota-carrying sales of software products and services into large enterprises.
- Demonstrable track record of consistent over-quota sales performance.
- Proven ability to engage senior-level stakeholders on complex IT and business-led opportunities, with referenceable client wins.
- Experience in driving and closing complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, CRM, ERP, Cloud enterprise software sales.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, Sandler.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, network internally, and be accountable for decisions, ensuring all stages of the sales cycle run concurrently.
- Demonstrable knowledge of key Return on Investment and Total Cost of Ownership principles.
- A creative self-starter who can work effectively within a supportive team culture and independently manage their own business.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, open to collaboration, and driven to achieve high financial rewards.
- Degree educated or equivalent academic/work experience.
