Electronics Radiation Effects Specialist

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking an Electronics Radiation Effects Specialist to join its team.
SalaryThe monthly stipend ranges from CHF 6212 to CHF 6828 per month (net of tax), offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Job DescriptionThis role involves advancing testing support within CERN's radiation test facilities, applying expertise in dosimetry, radiation detection, and monitoring. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting users throughout the testing process, from planning to execution and result interpretation;
- Driving research and development of new measurement technologies and detectors for complex radiation environments;
- Enhancing dosimetry practices through advanced active and online monitoring systems;
- Developing new radiation detectors for integrated monitoring devices to challenge harsher radiation environments.
The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in radiation measurement and dosimetry, detector technology, and particle detection. Additionally, they should have knowledge of radiation effects on electronics, experience with experimental setups, data analysis, and Python programming. Fluency in English is also required.
