Job Description

As a Highly Skilled Electronics Specialist at CERN, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge electronic systems for various applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and test electronic systems for sensor integration and measurement applications, leveraging your expertise in signal processing techniques and tools.
  • Instrumentation Solutions: Implement instrumentation solutions for signal conditioning and data acquisition for testing superconducting magnets, utilizing your knowledge of analog and digital signal processing.
  • Signal Processing and Analysis: Perform signal processing, filtering, and analysis to extract meaningful information from raw data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our measurements.
  • PCB Design and Prototyping: Design PCBs and schematics using CAD tools and participate in prototyping and testing of measurement systems and devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Professional Background: A professional background in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree and 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience, or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
  • Key Skills: Proficiency in signal processing techniques and tools (MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, etc.), experience with PCB design and CAD tools (e.g., Altium), strong knowledge of analog and digital signal processing, including filtering, amplification, and noise reduction techniques.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, with the ability to work in French being an advantage.
