Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Protocol Development Lead to join our team and lead our protocol team responsible for our core product. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring your team meets project timelines and deliverables, while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of backend, smart contract, and frontend engineers to drive project success.
  • Protocol Development: Develop internal and customer-facing software using Node JS (TypeScript) and design and implement web3 protocols using Solidity, Vyper, TEAL, and PyTEAL.
  • Blockchain Expertise: Work with EVM and non-EVM blockchains, including Node RPC API, state-machine, ABI encoding, and callstack traces reading.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit, integration, e2e, and stress tests to ensure the highest quality of our products.
Requirements
  • Communication: Fluent English communication skills.
  • Team Management: Previous experience managing a fully-remote, distributed team.
  • Engineering Expertise: 5+ years in engineering, with 3+ years of experience managing a team that owned a highly scalable service or protocol with > 1M liquidity.
  • Technical Skills: Backend development experience in NodeJS in production, strong understanding of consensus mechanisms, and advanced understanding of EVM and L2s blockchains.
  • Smart Contract Development: Proficiency in writing smart contracts using languages like Solidity or Vyper.
  • Bonus Skills: Knowledge of Algorand infrastructure, AVM, TEAL, PyTEAL, and experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
