Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Global Retail Excellence team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving strategic portfolio management and growth strategies across our global retail business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capability Leadership Role
    • Execute a capability roadmap and playbook for Strategic Portfolio Management, including Retail Growth Management principles, promotional guardrails, and channel strategy for assigned segments.
    • Lead Strategic Portfolio Management workstreams across assigned Business Development Teams (BDTs) based on prioritization and focus from 3-Year Operating Plan (3YOP) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
    • Lead the development of Strategic Portfolio roadmaps and multi-year portfolio strategies aligned to category vision, brand strategy, and customer/channel dynamics for priority markets to address unmet consumer needs, minimize channel conflict, and ensure Gross Profit (GP) acceleration and volume growth.
    • Ensure appropriate resourcing and pipeline integration through BDTs and segment governance to execute key SPM initiatives.
    • Partner with priority market capability leads on the deployment of SPM strategy for local market dynamics.
  • Brand Development Team Leadership Role
    • Act as the Retail Excellence liaison for a BDT to ensure the voice of the customer and core retail excellence principles are activated across the BDT.
    • Bring priorities to retail excellence squads for alignment and prioritization of work.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of Consumer Products industry experience in Portfolio Management, Category or Customer Strategy, Customer Business Development, Category Insights & Analytics, and/or Shopper Insights & analytics.
  • A natural leader who cares fiercely and can empower and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • A strategy guru who solves with courage and can craft category and brand strategy, unlocking new growth opportunities.
  • An owner's mindset with a growth mindset, proactive identification of trends, opportunities, and risks, and a bias for action to achieve results.
  • A bias for 'outside-in' focus and a natural storyteller who can communicate clearly, make the complex easy to understand, and adapt category and brand strategy that is relatable to sales teams and customers.
  • A dot connector who thrives on building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  • Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.
  • Direct customer sales experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of omni-retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics is preferred.
  • Up to 15% global or domestic travel.
