Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our European Sales Team, focusing on the European GIS market with particular responsibility for the Swiss market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating the energy transition by leveraging our cutting-edge product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tender processes for the GIS product line and develop comprehensive offers for the Swiss market.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all GIS sales-related inquiries, providing technical and commercial guidance to customers.
  • Lead global sales operations team members and other relevant functions on a project basis to ensure consistency of offers.
  • Conduct risk reviews and create cost calculations.
  • Negotiate technical and commercial agreements on behalf of the GIS factory and the local Swiss sales unit.
  • Support Swiss Sales Representatives and Account Managers in developing and maintaining sustainable business relationships with Swiss customers to achieve agreed budget and growth targets.
  • Prepare production forecasts and provide support in preparing sales key figures (budget) in collaboration with local Market Management.
  • Deliver customer workshops, sales trainings, and participate in trade fairs.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in technical sales, project management, product management, key account management, or similar areas of expertise.
  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in a technical/engineering discipline.
  • Sales personality with confident appearance on all customer levels, proven experience in the energy industry or manufacturing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince.
  • Understanding of customers and sales channels.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Eager to develop yourself, support your peers, and our customers.
  • Fluency in German language (minimum C2) is mandatory, as well as fluent English. Good knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Occasional travel for business trips.
