Job Description

Viking Cruises is seeking an experienced and highly organized Receptionist to join our team in Basel, Switzerland. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our international visitors, guests, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the front office area, including supervising staff and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Welcome and direct visitors to the appropriate person, answer and screen incoming phone calls, and respond to correspondence.
  • Receive, sort, and forward daily incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, and maintain inventory of office supplies.
  • Order office supplies, manage service points, and maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace.
  • Support the HR Department with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and transcribing.
  • Ensure all public areas are clean and well-maintained, and arrange travel and accommodation for employees and visitors.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • International experience or experience working on a ship is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and German (written and verbal).
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and administrative experience.
  • Ability to work independently, service-oriented, and guest-focused.
