This position is located in the HR Client Support and Entitlements Team, Human Resources Management Service, United Nations Office at Geneva. The Team Assistant reports to the Human Resources Officer/Team Lead.
**Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Chief of HRMS in UNOG, the incumbent will:
- Assists clients to regularize their status and the status of their dependents by explaining the Swiss Permanent Mission guidelines.
- Processes the requests for "cartes de légitimation" in accordance with the Swiss Permanent Mission procedures in a timely manner.
- Performs data entry and updates the staff members' records and databases for work unit.
- Scans all the new "cartes de légitimation" and the relevant documents in order to maintain accurate records.
- Manages the internal and external mail daily and ensures the record and the follow up of each client request.
- Provides general office support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Unit in compliance with the applicable standards.
- Operates a variety of office equipment in the performance of basic office functions, e.g. photocopier, printer, scanner.
- Creates and manages requests for attestations sent to the Human Resources Unit within UNOG’s Client Support Center.
- Acts as a Global Index Administrator for index creation requests.
- Provides support to ad hoc requests from clients of UNOG’s Client Support Center.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in administrative area, including customer service desk or related area is required.
Out of these, one (1) years' experience within the United Nations Common System is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English or French is required.
