A Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase hotel occupancy and generate revenue. This includes creating and implementing sales plans and campaigns, maintaining relationships with corporate clients, and building partnerships with travel agencies. The role also involves monitoring market trends, analyzing data, and presenting reports to upper management.

Role Purpose

The purpose of a Hotel Sales Manager is to promote and sell the services of a hotel to potential customers. They are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue for the hotel, as well as working to create a positive customer experience. They must be knowledgeable about the hotel’s services and offerings, as well as industry trends, in order to effectively market the hotel to customers. They must also be skilled in negotiating, sales, and customer service.

Hotel Sales Manager Summary

The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team to generate revenue and maximize profits for the hotel. This position requires excellent communication skills to negotiate with customers, build relationships, and create innovative sales strategies. The Hotel Sales Manager should be well-versed in hospitality industry practices, and be able to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities. The Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans, and overseeing the execution of sales initiatives. In addition, this position will be tasked with managing the sales budget, conducting sales team training, and ensuring that customer service standards are met.

Hotel Sales Manager Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and potential customers
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Gather data to analyze sales trends and determine strategic approach
- Create promotional materials, such as brochures, presentations and other marketing materials
- Organize and coordinate events to promote sales
- Monitor sales performance and suggest improvements
- Train sales team on effective sales techniques
- Develop and maintain sales reports and other documents as required
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

Hotel Sales Manager Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field
