The Account Manager develops, supports and nurtures a trustful relationship with EPFL's industrial partners. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term relationship between a portfolio of industrial accounts and EPFL. You will be able to identify needs and requirements to develop industry - academia collaboration. You will be the privileged point of contact for all kinds of collaboration models. You will work with other EPFL services and entities to promote EPFL's research competencies and innovation capabilities towards your accounts.

**Junior Account Manager (80% - 100%)**:
**Your mission**:
In this position, you will work closely with all the units of the Vice-Presidency for Innovation (VPI), in particular the Industrial Liaison Office, developing a solid knowledge of the EPFL
Innovation ecosystem, including research laboratories, students and start-ups, to become a privileged point of contact for your accounts portfolio.

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:
**Account management**
- Develop trustful relationship with a portfolio of accounts settled at the Innovation Park or having a long-term relationship with EPFL
- Acquire a thorough understanding of account needs and ensure appropriate collaboration models and services are developed and delivered. Link to other EPFL entities depending on the needs
- Be proactive in proposing new potential collaboration opportunities by following EPFL research activities
- Resolve any issues and problems the partner faces and deal with complaints to maintain trust
- Serve as the communication link between accounts and EPFL & VPI teams and services
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts using key account metrics
- Represent the VPI and organize industrial visits upon request

**Other activities**
- Support the different VPI and EPFL industry support programs and contribute developing new services for VPI and EPFL

**Your profile**:

- Passion for science and technology-driven innovation
- Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination
- Former experience in product development and/or innovation management in a technology company
- Experience in providing solutions based on customer needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organization levels and different cultures
- Excellent organization skills and ability in problem-solving and negotiation
- Excellent presentation skills
- Languages: Fluency in English and French is required, and other languages (e.g., German/Swiss German) would be a plus
- Team player, autonomous, curious with a strong commitment to results
- Scientific or engineering background (Master degree in engineering EPF or HES), with a preference in Electrical engineering, Energy, Computer science or Physics background.
