**Segment Manager - Turbine Electrification**:

Within our System Drives division, lead assigned area marketing and sales activities for Packaging offering (products, systems, services) - within a newly developing market field to be shaped into a growth segment. Ensure that the Product Group and related local sales units substantially exploit sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction given the perspective of long-term pipeline and opportunity development. Develop, lead, manage and coach the segment team members and reinforce global sales efficiency and performance. Build relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverage ABB strengths to capture new business opportunities. Drive and enhance Packaging business-led collaboration for the specific market segment.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Implementing, reviewing and further developing assigned industry segment strategy for a growing and fast developing field; leading the strategic sales activities with customers along with local sales units and involving technical experts and Tendering & Execution Centers; leading and further developing cross divisional and BA collaboration in the assigned segment
- Leading a team of segment champions while ensuring know-how sharing and cross-Division and cross-country collaboration
- Creating systematic channels to market with early end-user engagement which involves understanding evolving strategies, regulations and standards (e.g. sustainability and carbon emissions) in the selected market segments and countries
- Ensuring that the selected end users, EPC and OEM accounts (local, regional and global level) in the segments are identified, targeted, mapped and prioritized along with Global Account Sales, local sales units and the SAM/GAM network
- Driving growth from definition of key targets (e.g. volume, prices, portfolio mix) to ensuring these are achieved for the segment; building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels with the key stakeholders within the organization, with partners and customers
- Mapping market requirements and opportunities to actions for ABB and coordinates with Tendering & Execution Centers, Divisional Sales (Global Account Sales), local Sales units and other relevant teams (such as PG Management team) to implement these
- Identifying and managing risk relating to market trends and contract agreements; ensuring fast and cross-border learning loops for continuous mitigation of risks
- Using standard reporting tools to accurately identify future opportunities and measure progress by segment using SFDC data; implementation of a lean reporting scheme with local sales units monitoring progress of customer engagement and opportunity development.

**Your background**:

- Engineering background with less than 5 years experience, preferably in sales
- Experience with electrical drive systems, MV drives and motors, transformers and switchgear
- As beneficial asset, experience with rotating equipment, especially turbines and their integration into facilities and processes
- Leadership skills for successful goal achievements in an international and dynamic environment within a corporate landscape
- Proven track record in highly customized project business with direct or indirect exposure of complexities from sales to the end of the warranty

In your work, you will have the support of the experienced ABB Packaging technical team which, together with you, will make sure that the best possible solution is always provided to our customers
