The primary objective of the Commercial Excellence Manager at IDEXX is to increase the European sales team’s effectiveness and efficiency to generate & accelerate growth. The focus is on the adoption of the Key Principles of the IDEXX sales model, ensuring tools adoption; support and monitoring and sales KPI achievements. Additionally, it is to create and ensure adoption of fundamental sales processes like pipeline management, channel plans and sales professionals business reviews.

The above being successful is achieved through IDEXX multistakeholder alignment. Together with IDEXX stakeholders you will be designing, implementing and evaluating efficiency and the impact of sales programs and pricing strategies directly linked to organization’s products and/or services.
You will be an instrumental part in leading the Companion Animal Group (CAG) sales evolution from product-oriented to more customer-oriented. Designing and implementing sales goals, objectives and KPI’s and running metrics to measure performance against these. The function is collaborating very closely with Training and Business Operations leads to develop skills, competencies, tools and the main events which are part of the sales cycle (e.g. European Commercial Meeting).

**In this job, you will**:
Develop and implement regional commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth, align country sales strategies with the view to improve business and planning processes for achieving customer excellence
Collaborate with the finance team to identify new business opportunities and create/propose plans to achieve them
Facilitate the implementation of key priorities, projects and launches - with a strong focus on customer and financial metrics
Ensure flawless execution of the strategies and tactics at the local level, supporting the Commercial VP in his role
Manage/lead from Regional Perspective key sales cross-functional projects to improve sales excellence and productivity
Responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of sales programs, annual customer plans, etc. whilst ensuring sales and customer operations’ effectiveness and alignment with business financial strategies
Develops and implement sales procedures and processes to maximize performance of the Region; in addition to lead/contributes to process/other improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs
Utilizes data, metrics, and system tools to ensure efficiency and to maximize sales and customer operations effectiveness
Works closely with the markets to identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and proactively takes action to address - You strive for continuous improvement

What will you need to be successful?
7-10+ years of related work experience, which includes typically 5+ years of progressive management/leadership experience in Sales/Marketing/Business Operations
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, science or engineering related program, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience - Master’s degree strongly preferred
Working experience supporting/working across multiple regional markets
Animal health market knowledge across multiple geographies - advantageous
Strategic thinking and planning skills - experience with commercial techniques are essential
Influence without authority - ability to organize, prioritize and direct work activities
Works under mínimal supervision, solves problems independently and assumes responsibility taking a leadership role as needed with a strong ability to work in a collaborative manner across our matrix organization
Drive, initiative, break through thinking and business results focused with a strong customer centric mindset
Effective communication (presentations, correspondence, and 1:1) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills and modeling expertise
**Strong problem-solving skills**: ability to anticipate and resolve issues
Financial literacy and business acumen
Fluency in Business English (written and oral) - additional languages are advantageous
