The Commercial Lead coordinates and leads the business in CH or AT, reporting into the GM DACH. Reporting into him/her directly are the CHAT Sales Manager, the Market Access KAM in CH and AT respectively as well as the HR/Executive Assistant located in CH. The Medical Manager in CHAT collaborates closely with the Commercial Leads. Marketing support is provided by DACH HQ.
He/she is accountable for driving profitable business growth in the market (through local distributor partnership, when relevant) and leading change within the strategic framework of the Ipsen Group, as well as the objectives of Specialty Care.
**Main responsibilities / job expectations**
- **Drive compliant growth and profitability**
- Initiate and develop an articulate vision of the long-term goals and ambitions for CH or AT
- Propose and achieve sales & profit contribution targets
- Localize, prepare and execute strategic plan and budget in line with Group strategy
- Propose and implement resource allocation to products/segments/targets, in order to optimize growth and profitability
- Seek local Business Development opportunities
- ** Market Access & Public Affairs**
- Create and nurture close relationships with key local influencers, decision makers (including institutional bodies) and local pharma associations
- Lead and guide local registration and pricing/reimbursement programs supported by local Market Access KAM in CH or AT and DACH Market Access Team
- Manage relationships/agreements with distributors and partners
- Champion the strategy execution for key customers/KOLs and scientific societies
- Develop and foster relationships with global KOLs and health care societies in the key therapeutic areas, oncology, neurosciences and rare diseases
- Actively look for opportunities to represent and establish Ipsen as leading global biotech company and a recognized oncology player
- **Lead and promote continuous improvement in Commercial Excellence**
- Lead and guide local sales and medical staff on overall business and product priorities to support the ambition of becoming a commercial powerhouse
- Seek continuous improvement in Commercial Excellence (product positioning, pricing, market access, market research, medico-marketing processes, and sales force effectiveness)
- Ensure optimal support and understanding of local business needs as well as process alignment by fostering transversal teamwork with divisional functions, Commercial Transformation Department, Franchises and corporate teams

- Champion launch strategy execution in CH or AT and develop cooperative way of working with global functions to ensure best in class launches
- Lead local product launch activities and define the local medico-marketing and market access strategies and tactics
- Lead and shape pre-launch activities

- Ensure that adequate and compliant financial structures and control mechanisms are in place
- Comply with company guidelines and country/industry standards on ethics and compliance

- Ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with Ipsen SOPs, policies, directives and relevant national guidelines
**Knowledge, abilities & experience**
Education / Certifications:
- Ideal: Medical Doctor/ Pharmacist/ Biologist plus Master/Business School degree or PHD/Master in Business Administration
**Experience**:
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in sales and marketing management, involving Business Unit level, international experience, international company and Specialty Care products in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in managing a business with a proven track record of improving returns while growing the business
- Strong sales and marketing experience with the ability to interpret market changes and translate them into well-defined marketing/business plans
- Extensive knowledge of the local markets in CH or AT
- Strong commercial experience in oncology and a proven track record of successful launches in oncology
- Network of opinion leaders in oncology
