Technical Project Manager

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

Your task is to steer the development of innovative solutions for Direct Fastening technologies. You will move the idea starting from concepts and technologies into a serial production product phase, targeting the commercialization in multiple countries around the globe. Collectively with the project team, your technical lead will be the key to successfully deliver a differentiated, reliable and valuable product for our customers.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

As Technical Project Manager in our team you'll be part of an interdisciplinary development team working on the next technologies and production processes for the fastening Industry. You'll work closely with our experts and our markets on developing solutions to create value for our customers.

In your key responsibility, you will steer the technical part of our projects. You will conceptualize product ideas, design and generate prototypes, coordinate simulation activities, set-up testing and qualification methods and you will be the interface to our internal and external suppliers for the production process development and industrialization. You will be coordinating supporting resources from different organizations both internal and external partners. You will at the same time contribute with your own technology work and steer engineers and technicians in your project teams.

You will drive all product development phases from design to final validation, ending with a solution on the market. Your hands-on, entrepreneurial and proactive mentality will be needed to bring your visions to life including interdisciplinary engineering activities, e.g. ideation for solutions, design, validation and jobsite testing with customers. You will go beyond the state-of the art to create an outstanding solution

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

• Master/PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or related fields

• Your working style is proactive and you have a "getting-things-done", hands-on and target oriented approach

• You are a collaborative team player and a self-confident personality, standing your ground in team and management discussions

• You have fun to develop technical solutions, lead technical teams and can promote your work with a good and efficient stakeholder management
• Ideally you have a proven track record in product development and team management skills for at least 2 years
• Fluent in English (German is an asset)
