Legal Director – Telecommunications Company

Location: Remote and/or onsite in Geneva
We are seeking a Legal Director for a Telecommunications company in Switzerland. The successful candidate will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including managing and providing legal advice to the Leadership Team, as well as advising, negotiating, and making decisions on significant legal contract matters. The ideal candidate will possess broad knowledge of commercial and corporate law, along with previous experience in the IT/Telecoms industry. Fluency in English is essential.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Lead the regional legal teamManage and provide legal advice to the Leadership Team regarding contracts, customers, or commercial initiativesPlan, manage, and address areas of legal risk and compliance for long-term projectsProvide legal support for transactions, including major or complex customer transactions within the IT or telecommunications spaceAdvise, negotiate, and make decisions on significant legal contract matters, while assessing associated risksManage intellectual property and data privacy issues embedded in commercial agreements in coordination with the relevant Legal Centre of ExpertiseExperience and qualifications:
Law degree; ideally, possess a recognized legal qualification, such as a registered or licensed attorney, solicitor, or barristerMinimum of 10 years of previous work experience, preferably within the IT/Telecoms industry, either in an in-house or private practice capacityBroad knowledge of commercial and corporate law, with particular expertise in one or more areasExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plusHighly organized and efficient, with a proven ability to drive projects and deliver within specified timelinesPlease note that we can only accept applications from candidates with a valid EU work permit and who are based in Switzerland.
