Lead Capex Investment Governance

**About** the role**:

- Business owner of the investment approval process and business system owner of the related CAPEX Approval Tool within Global Manufacturing Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ), Data Digital & Technology (DD&T) and the BioLife organization
- Management of approx.1.600 users accessing the tool, around 3.000 investment projects getting approved on a yearly basis with an approx. yearly spend of 1.000 OY across 30 sites
- Interaction with a wide range of stakeholders within Engineering, business functions outside Engineering and external vendors.

**How you will contribute**:
**As Process Owner of the CAPEX Approval Process you are responsible to**:

- Lead, define and implement the vision and strategy of the investment approval process
- Proactively drive the evaluation of new requirements coming from a business perspective and influence decisions through collaboration, leadership and a customer focused approach
- Understand and assimilate detailed and complex business process across multiple functions and identify key changes in process required to be lean, fast and compliant
- Lead and drive the implementation across the whole network and business functions by effective change management
- Partner with stakeholders and lead continuous improvement and its implementation. This includes to develop key performance indicators and drive to implement related reports
- Be owner of the Global Operating Procedure (GOP) “CAPEX Approval Process”
- Establish and develop trainings on the GOP. And ensure that trainings are rolled out across all Takeda sites and relevant stakeholders and ensure a trained organization
- Key contact and “go to” person for the business community and stakeholders across GMSGQ, DD&T and the BioLife organization for the CAPEX investment approval process
- Be key partner and provide insightful expertise on the approval of investments
- Proactively build partnerships with business functions involved in investment projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide guidance and advice for applicants of investment projects
- Ensure and drive close collaboration and communication to all Takeda sites and relevant stakeholders. This includes interfaces to other business functions and system owners
- Be contact point and partner for internal and external Audits

**As Business System Owner of the CAPEX Approval Tool you are responsible to**:

- Leverage industry trends, identify best practices and best in class technology to challenge the existing tool and to further improve
- Ensure business alignment by identifying opportunities for business process improvements exploiting the existing tool capability or its potential
- Represent the system and its stakeholders in business strategy discussions and ensure longterm alignment with business plans
- Act as business change authority for the tool by reviewing and prioritizing all major changes to deliver real business benefit
- Ensure that major change requests are assessed from a business perspective before implementation of external vendor
- Decide and approve all functionality changes. Track changes and implementation steps for compliance purposes
- Ensure that budget for tool development and resources of external vendor for enhancements of the tool are available
- Ensure that external vendor understands the business processes. Coordinate and manage the external vendor to design the final solution to meet requirements
- Manage user acceptance test
- Manage business risks in terms of security, integrity, data, system availability and performance of the tool
- Be business escalation point in terms of major system issues and ensure that root cause analysis of major incidents is undertaken and communicate to the business in case of any ongoing system disruption
