Investments - Renewable Energy Expert

**Your area of responsibility**:
As an Investments Renewable Energy Expert, you will be supporting senior asset managers to the success of our asset management initiatives and the Investment team in Zurich. With your specialized technical and commercial knowledge of the renewable energies sector, you will be contributing to the due diligence process with the following responsibilities:

- Assisting the origination team in the due diligence phase (technical, contractual and financial), liaising with advisors, potential targets and senior management of EIP
- Taking full ownership of the management of participations in our portfolio companies and assets with end-to-end responsibility for managing the contracts with our counterparts (e.g. asset manager), delivery of investor returns by optimizing costs and creating project efficiencies, as well as insightful client reporting
- Evaluating asset performance through proficient use of financial models, considering impacts of different organizational, market (e.g. PPA) and capital structures
- Developing, framing, analyzing and executing value creation initiatives throughout the investment lifecycle in close collaboration with external and internal management supported by the internal expert functions
- Taking a lead on improving initiatives in the field of advanced data analytics, digitalization, engineering and asset management, e.g. regarding operation and maintenance or merchant power hedging strategies in the renewables wind and to limited extent solar, sector and other generation, transmission and storage investments
- Doing independent research on specific markets and investment opportunities including the derivation of possible investment strategies

**Your skills and experience**:

- Business-relevant professional experience of 5-7 years at a recognized leader in the renewable energy industry, e.g. utilities, investment management, renewable energy advisory and/or engineering services sector
- Excellent academic background with completed studies in business administration or natural/engineering sciences with a Master or Ph.D. degree from a globally recognized top-tier university or business school
- Significant experience of managing a highly motivated team and comfortable managing complex deals/projects in the renewable sector and a strong network in the energy market with the ability to originate and source deals
- Profound understanding and experience of M&A transactions, gained from a substantial track record of transactions through conducting due diligence processes in the infrastructure sector and negotiating transactions independently
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics
- Independent, pro-active, flexible and entrepreneurial approach; therefore, a self-motivated personality with excellent communication skills and with a positive, can-do attitude
