**Director (M/F/d) - Immunization Science and Policy**

in a permanent position/ full time at our Swiss HQ Zurich.

**Your tasks in detail**:

- Interface with supranational governmental and nongovernmental organizations in both scientific and broader policy issues related to Takeda’s vaccine portfolio, vaccination programs in general; implementation, national recommendations, funding and related matters. Organizations include WHO Global and Regional bodies, UNICEF, and NGOs with an interest in dengue control (eg Global Dengue and Aedes-transmitted diseases Consortium (GDAC), Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi), International Vaccine Institute (IVI); and trade organizations such as IFPMA, Vaccines Europe, EFPIA, and Bio.
- In these interactions, represent Takeda Vaccines Business Unit (VBU) positions, promote VBU and Takeda interests, monitor trends and issues of potential concern. Assess external scientific and healthcare environment, provide guidance, influence and help to form policies in support of VBU and Takeda objectives.
- Bring these perspectives to Takeda Global project teams to optimize strategy in the context of global trends and priorities. Participate in Global Brand, Medical-Scientific and other relevant teams to develop and align on agreed positions, represent and advocate for them externally.
- Assist Takeda Regions and LOCs in regional and national vaccine policy interaction.
- Identify and provide key inputs to supranational and national advisory bodies to attain vaccine recommendations for VBU products as quickly as possible, post - registration.
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders including supranational organizations, funding agencies and governments on scientific, regulatory and vaccine policy issues to ensure alignment of Takeda strategies with global, regional and national health agendas.
- Provide feedback on VBU positions and relevant issues from the external and general healthcare environments, to GMOs using GMST, GLT and GPT organizations, VBU management or Takeda functions, as appropriate.
- Interface and collaborate with all VBU functions, including in Japan, on scientific and policy issues
- within GPTs and in other venues, to develop and to act upon aligned Takeda strategies. Work closely with Takeda's scientific disease/ product experts.
- Represent VBU in other external settings as appropriate.
- Maintain fluency in the scientific literature pertaining to the public health and immunizations landscape, vaccine preventable diseases in general and diseases and agents of specific interest to Takeda to the extent needed to opine credibly and effectively. Subject matter expertise for diseases pertaining to Takeda’s portfolio is welcome.
- Comply with internal Takeda, Regulatory and legal requirements with respect to external communications and other external interactions.
- Assist in developing local operating company (LOC) vaccines capability, assist in training LOC staff on disease states, VBU products and vaccine policy.
- Collaborate with other VBU functions to further develop Takeda vaccine products to realize their full potential as a means to alleviate unmet medical needs.
- Conceive, organize and implement advisory board meetings to help inform Takeda VBU strategy and tactics.
- Acquire business-relevant information through formal and informal contacts with key external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a network of external relationships through Professional Associations, Meetings and Conferences, in support of achieving VBU objectvies.

**Your profile**:

- MD, Pharm.D., or Ph.D. in a health sciences related field, with extensive scientific and / or public health expertise, pertaining to vaccines, immunization and public health policy.
- Expertise and experience in public health practice, especially as related to infectious diseases, vaccines or other public health prevention modalities.
- Experience in a vaccines or pharmaceuticals multinational company environment, especially in Clinical Development, Medical or Scientific Affairs.
- Strong proven collaborative skills in working with teams representing diverse disciplines.
- Ability to comprehend and synthesize complex data with experience in the identification, analysis and implementation of programs and procedures required to achieve corporate objectives
