**Executive Director - Strategy Realization and Enterprise Integration Lead, Health Equity & Partnerships (HE&PT)**
In order to achieve our goal of expanding the reach of our medicines and vaccines around the world and ultimately creating long-term value for patients, society and the company, our company is establishing a new team, Health Equity & Partnerships. Within a context of an evolving fiscal environment, a changing nature of our portfolio and our bold ambition to expand the reach of our medicines and vaccines around the world, the Health Equity & Partnerships team will be enabling timely access and broader uptake to our medicines and vaccines by enabling new models and partnerships for commercialization, manufacturing as well as research and development. This new organization will work collaboratively across the enterprise, and with regional and local market teams, to advance sustainable health equity, access and partnerships with a focus on enabling underserved populations, primarily low and middle-income countries (LMICs) to benefit from our medicines and vaccines.
**Job Overview**: Reporting to the Head of Health Equity & Partnerships, and in close consultation with the leadership team, key enterprise and International business leaders as well as cross-divisional leaders in R&D and manufacturing, the _Executive Director - Strategy Realization Lead_ will play a pivotal role in supporting the creation and definition of our strategy (including prioritization across the portfolio and the markets), embedding and evolving the newly formed Health Equity & Partnerships team, ensuring execution against the strategy and monitoring progress towards our goal of expanding the reach of our medicines and vaccines to underserved populations in a sustainable way. Importantly, they will need to work with internal and external stakeholders and institutions to shape and consistently refine the strategy and prioritize the work so as to ensure we understand the evolving contexts we operate in and deliver for the people we exist to serve in the LMICs, as well as stakeholders and shareholders.
**Key Responsibilities, **including but not limited to**:
Strategy Development:
Working closely with the Head and leadership team of Health Equity and Partnerships, drive the development of a focused strategy that clearly articulates how to achieve the mandate of sustainable access in LMICs. This role will require significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an integrated and streamlined strategy.
Strategy implementation and operationalization:
Proactively support the team to identify and execute projects of strategic importance, oversee management & coordination of key initiatives and efforts which are often cross divisional/ cross functional and ensure KPIs are being monitored. Be the communicator, connector and catalyst for various cross divisional projects including working with Regional Presidents/Market leaders/Franchise leaders/GMAx/MRL/Policy and broader enterprise initiatives as necessary.
Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to drive strategy execution, including cross-functional teams, regional leaders, and global counterparts across commercial, manufacturing and R&D divisions. Effectively navigate the internal dynamics of our Company to gain consensus and drive progress towards strategic goals via non-hierarchical influence while complementing external partnerships and capabilities.
Organizational Development: Support the Head, Health Equity & Partnerships to build and cultivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Performance Tracking: Develop and implement a rigorous framework for monitoring and evaluating the progress and effectiveness of strategy execution initiatives. Utilize performance data to inform decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability. Ensure alignment of metrics across the organization (e.g., ESG targets)
Team support: Ensure optimization of meetings and alignment of topics to key priorities. Prepare high level agreements, record action items and issue in a timely manner to the LT. Coordination of all departmental presentations, follow up actions, financial submissions and budget planning exercises.
**Requirements**:
- Degree qualified (e.g. MBA, MPH), or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a commercially focused role
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in LMICs that translates into clear understanding of the unique healthcare system challenges, market dynamics, healthcare financing, biopharmaceutical business models and regulatory environment in these markets.
