Airline Account Manager

**_About The Role_**
As an Airline Account Manager, you will gain varied and hands on experience that prepare you for a role as a leader within the Travel Department, driving and supporting our continued growth. This role will report to a senior member of the department however training, coaching, and mentoring will come from all facets of the department. Tasks will focus on three critical areas of the Travel Department - Operational Expertise, Airline Partnerships, and Team Leadership.

Operational Expertise_**
- Learn to work in both Airline GDS platforms and EF's production environments
- Own the booking and managing of flights for a small portfolio of tours
- Participate as part of a team responsible for one of EF's Tour products
Airline Partnerships
- Manage relationships and supplier contracts with a select group of Airline PartnersEIL
- Ensure EF teams understand and use supplier programs to maximize our business results
- This aspect of the role will be facilitated through a quarterly rotation being mentored by our team of Airline Partnership Managers
- Negotiate favorable airline contracts, terms, and rates in a dynamic, fast-paced market to secure cost-effective and high-quality flight options for our customers
**_ Team Leadership_**
- Learn how to leverage your natural leadership skills into people management
- Participate in EF's professional development for new managers
- Collaborate with current managers and leaders on staff engagement, retention, and motivation initiatives

About You_**
**_ Requirements _**
- Higher academic degree
- Proficient in English
- Proper work authorization for this opportunity (European work permit)
- Previous success as a leader (professional, academic, or extra-curricular) preferred. Direct staff management experience not required.
- Availability to travel internationally up to four times per year
- Passion for the airline industry is a bonus
