The OEM account manger identifies and develops new OEM accounts for digital valve positioners and IP converters, with focus on the digital positioner business. The target accounts are mainly control valve and process skid manufactures. The OEM account manager must identify the main players (companies and their decision makers). Understand the OEM needs and industry trends and develop the OEM specific strategy to grow the business.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Identify the main players and the key persons in the target accounts. Understand the customer’s (global) business, their long-term strategy and key business drivers. Understand the advantage and impact the ABB products can play and identify the right strategy for the customer and the ABB sales organizations. Establish solid relationships (connections / networks) with the required levels of the customer’s organization. Be responsible for the relationship between the customer and ABB as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ inside of ABB. Leading the onboarding process until a reliable day to day business process is established with the ABB sales organization.
- Intensively grow the OEM business of the digital positioners and establish a long-term business relationship with these OEM accounts. Focus on profitable growth with large accounts by taking ownership and responsibility for targets and results.
- Create added value for the OEM customers and ABB by identifying the key business drivers, define the right product offering and OEM labeling options. Ensure a coordinated sales approach over different counties and between local sales and feeder factory.
- Monitor competitor activities, OEM and end-customer markets and trends and interpret the impact for ABB. Monitor competitor activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented. Give input on market price developments.
**Your background**:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in technically relevant fields such as Mechanical Design, Process Engineer etc.
- 5+ years in sales with experience in creating, developing and maintaining large accounts
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong ability to analyze business opportunities effectively
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
- Fluent in English language
