Position Overview

The Director Finance, International is acting as the Head of Finance for Exact Sciences International organization and will serve as a Finance Business Partner to the General Manager, International. He/She will be tasked by managing all functional requirements and by closely collaborating with her/his colleagues in the United States. He/she will help define requirements for the finance organization and systems to facilitate continued and accelerated growth of the Intl. organization within the Finance organization.

Reporting to the SVP Finance, this position also directly manages the Intl. accounting, billing activities and other related duties as assigned. He/she will orchestrate the budget and forecasting process together with the Intl. Finance team and will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our International distributor and partnership network in helping to define the framework for the further evolution of these relationships both for the current business model but also for the introduction of the localized IVD solution.

This position will be based in our International HQ in Zug, Switzerland.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Oversee financial operation across international organization ensuring compliance with all local and Us requirements.
- Establish close working relationship with General Manager, International.
- Manage and provide ongoing training to the finance team.
- Represent Finance Function in Intl. Management Team.
- Orchestrate development of meaningful reporting for enhanced business transparency including score cards and financial plan and projection process in Intl.
- Establish budgets and support development of Long Range Plan (LRP) for Intl.
- Preparation of internal financial reports for Intl. management.
- Represent Finance function on International Pricing Committee.
- Work with SVP, Finance on all Intl treasury related matters.
- Lead periodic financial forecast updates for Intl; including formal mid-year re-forecast.
- Provide business analysis support for future opportunities in Intl.
- Support distributor relationships and development of future distributor strategy.
- Assist in setting up operations in new markets/countries.
- Assist in any system or process modifications in close collaboration with colleagues in the US (IT,Accounting, Forecasting etc.) together with his/her team to make them serve the needs and requirements of the Intl. organization.
- Recruit, lead, manage and develop Intl. personnel to meet demands of growing business.

- Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- Travel up to 30% to the US and within Europe; travel to Asia and LATAM in scope.

Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in leading financial teams in multi-national global organizations in both country and regional roles.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about the role of finance in supporting the company’s strategy and its expansion in Intl. locations.
- Previous experience in working as a business partner with commercial functions.
- Has demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams and individuals within the team.
- Experience in systems development and roll-out.
- Worked with a product-based company with experience in issues involving revenue recognition, billing and collections, product costing & planning, inventory maintenance, and sales force reporting.
- Coordinating external accounting relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness to others.
- An ability to multitask, work independently and meet multiple deadlines as required.
- An ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, managers partners and customers as needed.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and across various cultures in a fast moving environment.
- Strong presentation and writing skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of other European languages a plus.
- Working Knowledge of US GAAP desired.
- Relevant experience with international Biotech, Diagnostics, pharmaceutical or medical device/IVD companies a plus.
- Prior involvement in M&A activities and partnership relationships including distributors a plus.
