Job Description**
About This Role**
The Data Scientist Intern in the External Global Manufacturing Sciences (GMS) Department located in Baar, Switzerland will advance the current data visualization systems at Biogen through the development of an end-to-end data analytics and visualization platform that
**What You’ll Do**
- Build, deploy and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data flows in Statistica from various sources (incl. databases, automation, enterprise systems) to build GxP datasets in support of cross-site and global manufacturing operations
- Develop and maintain data visualization platforms in Tableau for process monitoring, analytics, and investigations in collaboration with process experts
- Configure trending systems to support continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications**
Who You Are**
You recently completed yout Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant engineering discipline. You are a passionate and proactive individual who likes to share ideas and take responsibility for your own work. You are collaborative and innovative with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
**Required Skills**:
- Experience with an ETL tool such as Statistica, Informatica, Alteryx, or comparable platform
- Experience with designing data visualization solutions with tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, R/Shiny, or other
- Experience with multivariate modeling tools such as SIMCA, Unscrambler, or comparable
- Experience with database design using tools such as MS SQL Server, mySQL, or other
- Experience with relevant programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and VB
