- SPS Group is a global partner for the digital transformation of business processes. At our global headquarters in Zurich, we are looking for a Legal Counsel with a strong background in corporate and commercial matters to work alongside the General Counsel in various legal areas of SPS’ global business. In this exciting role you will be (jointly) responsible for the Group’s legal and regulatory matters, corporate transactions and advising internal as well as external stakeholder in a broad range of legal matters. You will also enable and support the business by building and maintaining necessary structures, procedures, and knowledge base within the SPS Group. You will be part of a small and highly skilled international team and report directly to the General Counsel.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Using your strong background in corporate and commercial law to provide profound legal advice to Senior Management.
- Take responsibility of leading strategic, group-wide business initiatives and projects in the General Counsel Office, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise and support cross-functional teams in M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Assist in the development and updating of organizational regulations, guidelines for corporate governance, compliance and risk management.
- Ensure solid corporate housekeeping for the entire SPS Group.
- Coordinate, manage and challenge outside counsel.
- Stay updated with the latest developments, industry trends, and best practices in your focus area and implement relevant action and policies to ensure compliance. Your commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the ever-evolving field of commercial law is crucial.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Master of Law from a Swiss University. Swiss bar admission is a plus.
- 5+ years post qualification in-house experience or a combination of experience in-house and international law firm.
- Strong and proven track-record in corporate and commercial law, willingness to familiarize with data protection laws and strong interest in the fast-evolving regulatory landscape of ESG.
- Ability to analyze business requirements from a Legal & Compliance perspective and transform into actions and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and business orientation.
- Team spirit and motivated to contribute to the further development of the legal function.
- Proficiency in German and English.
