THE ROLE
We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a global life sciences company in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal support across global clinical development activities, with a focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements. The role involves close collaboration with senior management and internal stakeholders, as well as contributing to the daily legal operations of the life sciences business. Proficiency in English is essential for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements related to clinical development, including clinical trial agreements, Contract Research Organization (CRO) contracts, research collaborations, licensing agreements, and vendor contractsAdvise internal stakeholders on legal aspects of clinical research projectsCollaborate closely with the senior legal team and cross-functional partners to support day-to-day legal mattersReview scientific publications and stay informed about relevant industry developments and regulations governing clinical trials; ensure compliance with Swiss lawOversee daily business operations, review manuscripts, provide legal input, and assist with other matters as necessaryYOUR PROFILE
Qualified lawyer with experience supporting and negotiating clinical trial operations and related agreementsA minimum of 5 years of legal experience in the life sciences sector preferred, with prior experience either in-house or at a law firmProven ability to negotiate and manage complex legal documentsExcellent drafting and communication skills, with strong attention to detailFluent in English, both written and spokenHighly organized, efficient, and diligent, with the ability to drive projects forward and meet established timelines
