**Global VP - Offering and Strategy Director (flexible location)**:

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and leading functional governance and global direction on integrated global Commercial, Technology and Product Management Strategy for Energy Industries including Account Management, Strategic Marketing, Business Development, M&A, Marcom and Pricing for profitable growth of the Division. **The location of this role is flexible for major ABB PAEN locations. Willingness to travel is required (high)**

**This position reports to**:
President of Energy Industries division

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supervise and provide cross-functional guidance to overall design and execution of Product Management Strategy for the Global Division.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to global Product Management and Industry vertical/Segment heads for coordinated design and execution of product management strategy aligned with the overall division strategy for profitability, stability and growth.
- Oversee design and execution of Global Division’s overall Commercial strategy integrating Account Management, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Communications and Pricing.
- Provide consult, guide and closely work with the Global Business Leaders for product, solutions, systems and service strategy, including product innovation and Research & Development for Blending, Excitation and Digital.
- Define effective organizational structure to support execution of Product Portfolio and Commercial and Account Management strategies.
- Ensure development of appropriate and synergistic performance targets for GAMs, Product Management, Strategy Director, Marcom and Pricing in line with global targets and ensures achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions.
- Direct/Support product management in order to develop, build and deploy world class automation solutions and products
- Position marketing and messaging to place ABB Energy Industries in a thought leadership position across our selected target markets
- Oversee budget, direction and strategy for M&A activities relating to Energy Industries
- Guide and oversee implementation of global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to Product Portfolio management, Marketing, Marcom, Strategy Development and Pricing in collaboration with the CFO and Global Business Lines.

**Your background**:

- 15+ years of experience in leading and managing global functions including Marketing, Sales, Account Management and Product Management.
- Additional experience of leading Strategy and Business Development function at region/global level would be preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Process Automation business and customer needs.
- Proven personal leadership in building and leading large teams, shaping collaborative, diverse and inclusive organizational culture with high strategic and results orientation.
- Global mind-set, intercultural sensitivity and excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
