This position reports to the Vice President Finance and Commercial Excellence, Rare Disease, and is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
**The Position**
As the Global Sr Director Commercial Excellence you will be responsible for a team that drives best-in-class launch excellence, commercial execution effectiveness and the continuous development of the Rare Disease customer engagement model.
You’ll be responsible to continuously evolve the global launch approach for the different rare disease products and drive the launch readiness in our focus countries together with the global cross-functional team. You’re expected to continuously optimise and develop strategies to maximise speed to market, global ambition setting or KPI measurement. You have the ability and expertise to drive strategic discussions and inform the global brand strategies while connecting with the local markets to maximise the performance.
As customer engagement preferences and therapeutic solution offerings continue to evolve, it is expected that you will ensure that our go to market approach for the new product launches as well as the overall portfolio is continuously updated and reviewed to take advantage of new opportunities in this space incl Multi-Channel Engagement (MCE) and ensure commercial effectiveness.
Together with the team you will be driving performance analysis across various commercial execution parameters incl field, digital and provide feedback to global the leadership team on potential corrective actions and adjustments to strategies and global campaigns. You’ll be the champion of driving a competitive and data-driven mindset and evolve our integrated analytics approach for Rare Disease.
You will act as the secretary to the Rare Disease Commercial Committee and support the VP Finance and Commercial Excellence on ad hoc strategic commercial projects and business development or licencing opportunities.

**Qualifications**
We imagine you have obtained a Masters’ degree within business administration, marketing, pharmacy or a similar field. You have multiple years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a global organisation, working at local and global/regional level in Sales or Marketing and with a track record of delivering results, successfully driving high impact product launches and provide insights and improvement suggestions to drive execution effectiveness. Your analytical and strategic thinking allows you to set direction, translate insights into tactics and measure the impact of activities. Additionally you have an innovative mindset, are proactive and thrive in a fast-moving environment. You are an experienced people manager and take pride in the development of your employees.
You thrive in lean, agile environments where there is the opportunity to carry out strategic and hands-on work. Your ability to successfully navigate complex cross-functional and cross-regional organisations enables you to build relationships colleagues from different backgrounds with ease and influence senior stakeholders. You are an excellent communicator, able to drive change and fluent in English, orally and in writing.
**About the Department**
The Novo Nordisk Rare Disease HQ, based in Zurich, Switzerland, is driving change for patients in rare blood and rare endocrine disorders. With sales of over 2.5 billion USD, it is a key part of Novo Nordisk and its corporate strategy.
