Global Medical Director

**The Position**

As Global Medical Director of Rare Disease, you will be responsible to develop and execute global medical activities to maximize the global potential of the new disease area of rare renal disease within five focus areas: medical activities, KOL & association engagement, Publications, Medical education & Medical guidance.

In close collaboration with the Senior Director and VP of Rare Disease, you will set direction and manage the overall medical affairs strategy in line with the global business strategy and strategic aspirations.

Working within a dynamic, growing environment you will be the collaborating with our central cross-functional team and with local medical team of rare renal disease, where you will be responsible to develop a global medical product plan for our rare renal asset.

Furthermore:

- We expect you to analyse medical insights and drive scientific communication and data publication in cooperation with clinical team.
- You will also support clinical medical activities, RWE, and data generation initiatives through design, scientific advice, and roll-out of related activities.
- Additionally, you will establish professional relations with networks of KOLs, establishing Novo Nordisk as a new partner within nephrology and urology community treating patients with recurrent kidney stones.

**Qualifications**
- You have strong medical and scientific qualification as an MD, PharmD, PhD and preferably with a post-graduate medical qualification in Nephrology, Urology, Paediatrics or Genetics. Since then, you have gained experience in a range of Medical Affairs positions, ideally within a Biotech or Rare Disease organisation, specialised in Renal, Urology or Genetics.
- As a talented and innovative scientist, you demonstrate a strong analytical mindset and aim for the best, qualitative solutions in a changing business environment. You bring strong strategic experience, with prior experience establishing medical activities in a new disease area. In addition, you have good GCP knowledge and clinical trial methodology
- You are excellent at solving problems, integrating both a scientific and business mindset. You are pragmatic and thrive in changing environments, quickly adapting into new directions.
- As a person, you are open and easily connect with others. You are a confident communicator and you feel comfortable presenting both business and scientific content to a range of audiences.
