The Regional Executive Clinical Director is a therapeutic and disease expert who is responsible for supporting clinical development activities in Europe and also facilitating and developing relationships with the Neurology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience medical/scientific community who have potential interest in participating in research studies (ISTs and Company Sponsored). This position will report to the Therapeutic Area Head, Neuroscience in Global Clinical Development EMEA.

**Primary Activities include, but are not limited to**:

- Supporting company-initiated trials by interacting with primary investigators, reviewing medical monitoring data, assisting trial team with query resolution and protocol questions, assisting in site identification and selection, initiation activities and delivering disease education using approved resources
- Identifying, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key countries, investigators, institutions, groups and consortia to identify and address scientific needs and stay abreast of current scientific trends in Neuroscience
- Conducting peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence with Scientific Leaders to ensure they have a medical contact within our company
- Supporting data generation activities including provision of areas of research interest and ISP process to potential investigators and review of proposals
- Engaging in proactive non-product discussions regarding Neuroscience scientific issues to assist in obtaining feedback on certain scientific topics of interest to inform the research activities (e.g., medical practice insights, evidence/data gaps, novel targets and pathways, etc.)
- Facilitating collaborations with external researchers around the world
- Travelling on company business about fifty (50) percent of the time, to manage future or ongoing clinical research projects (when the situation allows, taken into account COVID-19 restrictions, if applicable)
- Representing our research division at scientific meetings including pipeline booth support, congresses and symposia, participate in Neuroscience research advisory and investigator meetings.
- Providing experienced clinical leadership for cross functional teams and activities
- Providing clinical support and training to local trial teams, as needed
- Complying fully with all company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Working closely with a cross-functional group of experts in commercialization, regulatory affairs, statistics and manufacturing, to manage clinical development projects; and
- Assisting the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Head/Executive Medical Director in ensuring that appropriate Corporate personnel are informed of the progress of the company’s studies and its competitors
- Providing or formulating internal and external expert opinion on scientific questions relevant to his/her areas of responsibility
- The Director is responsible for maintaining a strong scientific fund of knowledge by:

- Maintaining awareness of scientific developments within his/her area of expertise, in terms of new scientific findings and research methodologies
- Identification of scientifically and operationally strong investigators who can assist in the development of our company's investigational and marketed drugs
- Establishing communications with prominent clinical investigators in his/her particular field of interest, especially those who will be willing and able to assist in the evaluation of our company's drugs
- Attending appropriate scientific meetings to maintain his or her competency and to maintain awareness of research activities in his/her area of responsibility.
