Global Medical Director

The Global Medical Director will report to the Senior Global Medical Director, Rare Endocrine Disorders, Rare Disease Medical Affairs. This position is based at our office in Zurich, Switzerland.

**The Position**

As Global Medical Director, you will be a key member of the rare endocrine disorders medical affairs team responsible for providing insights with your expertise in paediatric endocrinology.

Furthermore:

- You will support ongoing development of new therapeutic agents as well as life cycle management of approved products, working independently and cross-functionally on operational activities
- You will contribute to the development of the rare endocrine disorders strategy for new therapeutic areas and development projects and support the RWE strategy generating evidence to increase understanding of patients’ needs in the various disorders in different markets
- You will support strategic assessments of external opportunities of new assets along with providing guidance to our R&D unit by providing clinical and medical input
- As a medical specialist, you will play an important role in representing the Company interacting with external scientific leaders, study centres, patient advocacy groups and health authorities as needed

**Qualifications**

You are motivated to improve the lives of patients and you are Medical Doctor, qualified and subspecialty certified in paediatric endocrinology, bringing prior experience in rare disease. In addition:

- You bring several years of related work experience in clinical and research activity, including clinical trial participation as principal investigator
- You have strong communications skills and experience working in cross-functional, international teams in a matrix organisation
- You can think strategically and tactically regarding how innovation can support patient diagnosis and management
- Commercial and business understanding is an advantage
