The Legal Counsel for Life will be part of the Legal Strategic Solutions and Operations Team which consists of highly qualified and specialised lawyers located within the Corporate Center of the Zurich Insurance Group in Zurich, Switzerland. The team is part of the Group General Counsel Area and provides legal advice and support to different Businesses, including Zurich Integrated Benefits Solutions, a business unit providing personalized and holistic benefits to employees of corporate customers, and Life Business Management.

**What you will do**
- Identify and advise internal customers on management and mitigation of legal, regulatory and reputational risks
- Establish, negotiate, and manage contracts with third parties and intragroup
- Act as strategic partner to internal customers by consulting on legal issues and implications of business initiatives and providing practical, solution-oriented advice and efficiently brief senior management
- Proactively identify legal issues having business-wide impact and provide pragmatic solutions
- Close interaction with legal colleagues and alignment with Zurich business units globally

**What you bring**
- Law degree and Bar exam, preferably from Switzerland
- Postgraduate studies/foreign degree (e.g., LL.M.) or similar work experience abroad
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in life re/insurance matters, preferably on an international level
- Experience in working on global/regional projects and in coordinating with lawyers in other jurisdictions
- Interest in technology and related legal topics
- Distinct ability to outline complex matters in a simple, logical and conclusive manner, and the ability to effectively communicate with senior management and outside experts.
- A proactive, autonomous and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think out of the box and a commitment to being a team player
- Interest in and understanding of the evolving landscape and future needs within employee benefits market
- Excellent command of English; in addition, German preferred; other languages are a plus
